Love is building.
Hate is a building torn down,
but love is building.

Halo
One circle leads to another,
this one green,
this one concrete gray.
Rain threatens,
dead things come to life.

Another circle, this one made of rubber,
spins furiously in time with its brother.
Light blue steel is involved.

Two dogs chase each other in a circle,
unsure whether they are friends.

An orange ball flies through a red circle.
On a small orange car, four wheels spin around,
and a baby giggles, her laughter like tiny round bubbles.

There is a ring on the porch table
from the sweat of an iced tea glass.
It is probably too soon to be drinking iced tea outside,
but we simply cannot wait any longer.

On the front of a camera,
a round black disc divides in half, slides out of the way,
making way for the hopeful round lens. Click. Click.

Dandelions bravely show their round faces.
They don't know they are unwanted,
they only know the warm, round sun is calling to them.

"Come outside," it seems to say,
"winter is over at last."
